It's beginning to look a lot like Bethlehem...

This week is Bethlehem at our church! Can't believe it's here! Lots to do and lots of fun to be had. I think this is the one weekend that changes my heart about Christmas. I freeze. I get dirty. I feel very uncomfortable. Isn't that what was asked of Mary, Joseph and Jesus when he was born? It's only for a few hours 3 nights, but what a way to celebrate a savior being born--- returning to Bethlehem!

Have a great week friends and come out to Bethlehem via New Hope Church Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I know you'll enjoy it.

Happy Anniversary Baby

Today marks 11 years of marriage to the one I love. It also marks 21 years of friendship, 16 years of being together as a couple *because we dated so darn long*, and 5 1/2 years of parenting. It also is 10 pretty good years and 1 of tumultuous turbulence that almost left us both scared for life. I have to say I wouldn't have missed any of it for the world. I have to say I am a better person (mostly) for having Jeff Biggs in my life. I also am a more adventuresome, arguementative, and compassionate person because of my spouse. Our relationship as well as the one with my Savior is like Steven Curtis Chapman wrote... "This is the Great Adventure". So thankful for you and Jesus. So... as the oh so cool song goes...."Happy Anniversary, Baby... got you on my mind!" and you too Jesus! Love you both!

Done it!

We done it is right! The thing you think you're never gonna do, dont' want to do, and try not to think about doing---- is done!!! PTL!!! Dad and I went to the place (RIG Ministries Chapel) we want to have mom's visitation and funeral service and ok'd that with them... of course, date to be set later! We also went to see our friend, David Campbell, also known around the countryside as the funeral director. We discussed mom's history, got names, filled in a few blanks, then... the casket room... picked one out and then the "vault" Now if that doesn't say final, your wheels are square! It wasn't near as bad as I thought and we both feel like we accomplished a lot. You may say, "She's on drugs!!!" Well, between the supernatural peace that Jesus gives, the sinus meds I need to take and the crunch and munch that served as my lunch, maybe I should have had some more.
added tidbits... oak with a pink velour!!!
& dang!!! dying is expensive!!!!

AWAKE...3:23

Today I woke up at a time of day that usually doesn't interest me. i just couldn't lay there for some reason, so I got up and am still up. For some reason the Lord has ordered my steps and now i seem to be ready to roll. Could this be the start of something new? A Proverbs 31 woman? A go-getter coming alive in me? A mistake? A freak accident?

or is it PRE-MENOPAUSE???

Happy Easter!!!!

We celebrated Easter by waking my family to go to sunrise service at 6. Before my son had gone to bed he said, "you're going to get me up in the middle of the night right?" So at 5:37a.m. I woke him by touching him and calling his name softly, he roused, looked around and decided what stuffed animal he would bring along. He then checked his pull-up and said victoriousl "I didn't pee!" and then stripped it off to nothing and got on underwear to with his jammies to go to church in... I love the country church...nobody cared how the kids were dressed--- that's awesome!!!

Then we get home, start feeling the exhaustion and there it went...the Easter mouse!

That's the part of the country I could do without.
